Treasures on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug
Together, the Von Gimborn Arboretum and House Doorn reveal fascinating aspects of German heritage on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park. Groups can visit both these botanical and cultural-historical heritage sites in one varied package trip.
The day starts at 10:00 am with a visit to the Von Gimborn Arboretum. Here you will be welcomed with coffee, followed by a tour with an Arboretum Guide. Then, lunch will be served in the Orangery of House Doorn. After lunch there will be a guided tour around the house - the residence of the last German Emperor, Wilhelm II. After the tour, you have the rest of the day until 17:00 hours to visit the Pavilion exhibition, ‘The Netherlands in the First World War’, and take a walk in the beautiful estate and surroundings of House Doorn.
